Ubuntu Live CD

I'm not really a linux kinda guy, actually I'm a fan of Bill Gates because he is rich AND generous AND giving his wife a helping hand in his Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation AND even in their own way helping out our country and poor Filipinos like the Cebu bridge and the anti-human traficking initiatives. Ok, now why am I supporting Linux because simply it's free. Be honest people, do you have a genuine Windows XP installed? Yeah right. I do not hate you for it, it's just that it's not helping our economy, and worse it's getting harder to find an I.T. job nowadays. Piracy is also stealing! (like the start of a VCD movie clip, remember?) AND you are not helping Microsoft in any way! Maybe that's why they are selling Windows Vista in different flavors. Technically speaking, security in XP isn't that bad, it's SOP to install anti-virus software even in Mac or Linux and it's rather safe. Ok, I got hit by a virus once in XP and had to re-install, but with a good security software, there is no problem.

Ubuntu (the orig),Xubuntu (for low-end machines),Edubuntu (for education), Kubuntu (using KDE desktop). Linux is free, and after tweaking it, it really, really feels like XP. The installer is a snap (you just know what software to install), graphics is clear even the fonts, customizable, boots fast, even a hibernate feature (although XP does it better), AND it's F.R.E.E.

Now, the best part is you can distribute it freely without strings attached. Give, share, without breaking the law. Try it without installing it on your hard drive, it won't cost you a penny.
