How Connected We Are?
No man is an island, and yet some people prefer to live alone. Sometimes when we get out from work, we tend to retreat from the busyness of life. We pack food, clothing and flashlight and go to the remotest mountain, at the side of the waters and reflect. Scientists believe we are not alone. In some parts of the place in space, there must be something besides us. I see snapshots of people in other parts of the world and see people's faces, words, lives and somehow get rattled in our being. Even when we are sitting on a bench, listening to music, watching people and cars pass by, I never feel alone. As I see the sky above and the trees swaying with the wind, I believe that there is someone watching me. I'm living in my bedroom and yet I am connected; connected with lives in other countries, connected with the God that formed me. I have always someone to be with me no matter how alone I am. You may also too, if you say the words that restore the connection that has been severed since the fall of man. I know that He will listen.
