The Joy In Life

People are always grumbling, always asking for things they want for themselves. They always say cruel words which hurt whenever they don't get what they want. And, the mere fact that I don't know these people, they still ask something from me. From them I could say that they are never happy, nor satisfied, and even if you give them what they want, still will never be satisfied with their work, money, sex, and life itself.

I saw also other people who are very poor, eating left-over food in the garbage can, yet I can observe that even in their pitiful situation, they are happy in life. Like yearning to buy software, saving money for years just to have it, and once that day you have money for it, there is bliss. The other way is true that when you get what you want in a wrong way soon enough, there is no happiness since you got it easily, and never acquired it with patience and hard work.

Myself, I don't always get what I want, but I found another way of having joy in my heart like reading, listening to music, doing work. There is happiness once you achieved something, and those little things everyday as you do your work and say to yourself, “I did it!”

Paul, when he was dying, he said that he has fought the good fight, and finished the race; he has accomplished the task God has given him. It was never easy for him, for he had been persecuted, people tried to kill him, mocked, shipwrecked, accused of things he never did, ignored, prisoned, poor, but still loved those who hate him and even helped them to see the truth and won salvation.
