In Search for Beauty

It was a usual day when students were going to their groups, chatting, slacking around taking a breather after classes. My friends and I were making jokes, laughing, exchanging stories, looking for something to do that we always wanted to do but didn't. My friend saw his crush, and we dared him to talk to her, and he did. She smiled at him, and he smiled back, and we were just guessing what they are talking about, and he left and went to us. He just told us that he got her name, and maybe her phone number. Then it was my turn. I approached this other group, and I was looking for someone, and moved to the next group, and then her group. I asked them if they know the student I was looking for. They answered, and this girl introduced me to them. Finally, I got their names and greeted and bade to her and she bade to me and smiled. It was the best day in school, and still cherish the thought. It was then, but now I have to move on in life.

Again, it was a usual day in the university, and I just arrived to school. As I was going up the stairs, I looked at my side and saw this beautiful girl walking towards me. Thinking that she is also going up the stairs, I waited a little and see what happens. When she was drawing near, I walked up the second floor and she followed, I stopped and looked at her and she looked at me and smiled. Somehow I understood something about her, who she was, and what was she like that made me smile. I walked on the second floor and looked outside towards the heavens, and sighed because I love someone else as I've thought I did.

These two were the most beautiful girls I met in life, and now I hope I will meet others to in life, searching for true beauty.

The Secret to Happiness

My life is never happy. I wake-up in the morning, eat breakfast, take a bath and start working. I am like those persons who work at home, doing something for nothing. I don't get to talk to other people, except when times I call my friends to have dinner, but it happens rarely. If you would look at my life it's rather boring. But, how come I am still happy, despite the harsh and cruelty of people around me?

Just the other day, I received a text message saying that she just had a baby girl, and my heart leaped for joy, even though it's someone else's baby.

Sometimes even having no life in my life is still life in itself because we don't know what life can bring everyday. Even if life can be a drab, still there is happiness in what tomorrow brings. There is life around us, and God is living inside me.

What I learned for the past years that happiness can also be just in your mind. I know people who aren't happy because they are always unhappy. Their minds are filled with anger and hatred; they always grumble and think negatively. They always wanted something they will never get, just like chasing the wind. If winning the lottery can solve our problems then those who won should die happy, but they too still got problems no matter how much money they have.

I also learned in life that to be happy, make other people happy. In those days, I remember doing good to less fortunate people, and their smiles made me smile.
