A New Hope for 2008

The year 2007 gave me a glimpse of choices. Deciding on what to wear; what to eat; what to do offered me a chance on how I spend my every moment here. 2007 also for me was a time of troubles and terrible persecution, sometimes I wonder if being good has a better alternative. Often times, I think if life is a gift or a curse. God gave us breath and yet even breathing is painful. It was also the year of doing something to contribute for others, for I've been working on my web-based sequencer for a year now and it's promising. Everyday was, I mean is a learning experience. I also dived into the world of Linux, I mean GNU/Linux using Ubuntu as my distribution. Their community are very friendly and it gave me means to also help others even on lands I will never see. The internet provided me that, but as in anything else, it can be used for evil. The coming year I believe will be challenging. As I read news everyday, stock markets are falling, people dying from earthquakes and floods, rising oil prices, families left homeless, I guess, 2008 will be a year for people to pray and hope that this life isn't the end. Life moves on.
