Anti-Virus for Humans

WHO warns of global epidemic risk as new emerging diseases are spreading among the population. Included are AIDS, Ebola, and SARS.

I was updating my anti-virus software for my computer when it dawned on me if there can be vaccines that can be downloaded from the internet and install it on our system. You can get recipes for pizza why not for virus vaccines that can save billions of lives? It says in the news article that they can get outbreak alerts from media and points out that governments are not providing these important data maybe worried about economic impact, which it shouldn't be so. Even some government are hesitant about giving samples.

Epidemics are threat to our health even to our existence. The bible is true to point out that in the end times, diseases, war, famine will kill one-fourth of people on earth mentioned in the Revelations. It may sound prophetic but it is. I pray that people will realize this and come to our Lord for comfort because there is only one real security and that is through God.

What will you do if you get infected?

It's a Picasso!

Yeah, just like some (or most) of you guys, I'm thinking of ways to earn money. I've been doing this game developing stint and it's fun but doing it alone is sometimes boring. One evening, I remembered that I used to collect comic books that I learned from a friend since teenage years, and whenever I get my allowance, I put aside money for comic books. After the bell rings, we hitch a ride going to our favorite store and browse, look and drool at those first printed number one's. I usually get those comic books with attractive drawings, and he usually get the engaging stories. We always ask this saleslady for gossips of collector's items on the way and even pay for reservations. The comic book is expensive enough for us to skip snacks and just share stories of what happened or what might happen in the coming series.

Now, after 14 years, I logged on the net and see their worth, and I was surprised on how much they value. I learned that it increased by 45% better than investing in banks. I never realized that those works of art and movies in paper would cost that much now, 14 years later. Before, my friend always say that he plans to give those comic books he collected for years to his children, to his children's children as an inheritance, and maybe someday when they are carefully kept, those comic books will be a reminder of the treasures it holds. Hey, it's a Picasso!

Musical Notes

These past few days, I was busy writing my Classical compositions on paper. Yup, in paper. A computer buff that I am, I decided to learn to write musical notes using low-tech means and my own CPU. I tried it and it's quite challenging and time consuming when figuring out the counts, but it's still fun despite some frustrations. It may be easier using a computer yet, it's best if you got knowledge doing it manually. And, there is a looming electricity shortage here in our country because of drought. I've read an article citing this and hopes that everyone would pray for rain.

Anyway, I learned that the Bible is the musical notes of religion. It's the basis of our faith; a guide to lead us or make us realize. Sometimes, we must meditate and try to remember the things we did this past week, and evaluate ourselves if we have remained faithful.
